Gabriela Parra Sánchez is a daughter, sister, granddaughter, cousin, niece, friend, roommate, artist, thinker, lover, visual communicator, laugher, crier, dancer, painter, walker based in Berlin.
Born in the Colombian Andes, in her work she contrasts the warm and fertile spirit of her birthplace with the meticulous coldness of Germany, where she is currently living and learning.
Her bold visual pieces encompass various disciplines including typography, editorial and graphic design, often passionately combined and experimented with. Gabriela's practice attempts to displace the various societal conventions, humorously and poetically provoking their origins.
